Mercantini Mobili S.p.A., part of the italian furniture industry since 1956, adopted its current name in 1993.
Today, with a production facility which covers 38,000 square meters, of which 22,000 are indoor, it is one of the most important manufacturers in the home furnishing industry, in particular: italian wall systems, italian bedrooms and italian living rooms.

The organization has undergone constant transformation, with considerable investments over the years. The addition of numeric control machinery and the computerisation of numerous operational phases have increased productivity, aided by quality control systems. The furniture company uses an integrated production cycle which permits direct control of all of the machining phases. This has made it possible to implement new, more flexible furniture product lines, designed in collaboration with qualified furniture designers.

Not less important has been the entire renewal of the cfurniture ompany’s promotional and communications materials.

Mercantini Mobili (furniture) S.p.A. has organised a widespread, and selected sales network which covers the entire Italian market; this has brought the company gratifying success in terms of sales and trademark recognition.

Exports, a company strong point from its inception, are on a constant upswing, especially in the main European nations like Belgium, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Russia and Turkey.

Italian Furniture design

Silvano Barsacchi lives and works in Pisa. From the beginning of his career, he has dedicated his efforts to industrial design, working with some of the most important manufacturers of modular kitchens and furniture for the home and office. For several years he has directed the Toncelli kitchens design studio. He designs furniture for Mazzei, Effetì, Ciatti, Composit and Fasem in collaboration with other designers. Since 1982 he has worked on his own as designer, project planner and consultant. He deals in interior architecture, store and showroom fittings. He designs for many companies in the furniture industry, including Fam, New Form and Gruppo Barnini. In recent years he has begun to consolidate a long period of project design for Mercantini mobili and Scavolini cucine. In the 90s, in collaboration with the industries producing prime and semi-machined materials for woodworking, he opened a centre for technical-experimental research and development for product industrialisation. Since 2000 he has designed office systems and accessories for Brunoffice.

By car: Autostrada A14 Adriatica - exit "Pesaro- Urbino" (Italy), S.S.N. 16 (Adriatica), S.S.N. 3 (Flaminia) and Superstrada to Fano when coming from Rome. By train: Pesaro Railway Station - all major national and international trains stop here.

By plane: Rimini - Miramare "Federico Fellini" Airport (Italy)- is 25 Km to the north; Raffaello Airport of Falconara - Ancona - at 50 Km to the south.
