History, innovation, italian design in bath  

The 1970s.
A newcomer, and already a Museum piece.
Year of incorporation: 1972. Teuco immediately concentrates on novel materials like methacrylate, and on design, aiming to furnish the bathroom interior with revolutionary new tubs and showers.

Having mastered the art of moulding methacrylate, Teuco was able to pioneer the notion of introducing ergonomically designed and truly elegant bathtubs and multifunction showers into what was then still very much a utilitarian bathroom interior.

A bold step, and a swift reward: the Round Shower made by Teuco was made an exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, shown as an example of Italian style applied to technology.

The 1980s. Steam and electronics.
Teuco comes up with an entirely new function for a shower cabin: the steam sauna, bringing countless benefits as an aid to health and beauty.
A treatment available hitherto only at health centres can at last be enjoyed in the seclusion of the home.
Meanwhile, electronics bring rarely experienced levels of comfort and luxury in multifunction showers and whirlpool baths. Teuco was the first to introduce
such highly evolved functions, and electronics research has been instrumental ever since in maximizing relaxation and optimizing ease of use.

The 1990s. The depth of ultrasound.
Teuco creates and patents Hydrosonic, the whirlpool-and-ultrasound massage that acts directly on cell tissue, giving a deep and unparalleled
sensation of well-being. Teuco has a policy of constant research embracing every area of human science:
in creating Hydrosonic, the company studied the effects of high frequency sound waves used in medicine.

In effect, the Hydrosonic series affords tangible evidence of the high added value given by Teuco to its product, underpinning the strength of the italian brand and opening up new business opportunities.


The New Millennium. The age of Next.
On the threshold of the new millennium, Teuco presents the Next series, confirming a solid vocation for leader-ship and a capacity for original, forwardthinking
design. More exactly, heavy investments in systems and technologies herald the introduction of injection moulding, with all its many advantages in terms of design, maintenance, assembly, and low environmental impact. All reflected in the prestigious Next series of shower cabins.
And this is also the moment of Cromoexperience, the chromotherapy based treatment that brings lights and colours into the cabin, adding yet another new dimension in personal well-being.

2006. The first silent whirlpool.
In order to preserve the genuine enjoyment of soaking in the tub, and to restore a sense of nature to the whirlpool experience, Hydrosilence brings a new value to Teuco bathtubs: silence.
Hydrosilence is a system which reduces acoustic emissions during whirlpool operation, leaving you to enjoy the purest sound associated with well-being: running water.
